The Sapulpa Fire Department is trying to determine the cause of a business fire Sunday evening which nearly spread to a nearby apartment complex.

Firefighters say strong winds were a big concern when a storage building behind the Selena Steakhouse restaurant caught fire at about 10:30 p.m.

The wind drove the fire from the storage building to the restaurant, damaging the backside of the business.

The restaurant is located at 801 East Dewey, across the street from Sapulpa's central fire station.

The storage building contained household items like furniture.

"Our main concern was to try and keep it out of the restaurant as well as the apartments to the north. At this time, the fire marshal is investigating and we haven't determined a cause," said Sapulpa Assistant Fire Chief David Taylor.

The owner and his family were inside the restaurant when the fire started. No one was hurt.
