Tulsa County Van Carrying Inmates Crashes On Turner Turnpike

A Tulsa County Sheriff's Office van, transporting inmates, was involved in a crash outside of Oklahoma City on the Eastbound Turner Turnpike Friday afternoon.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were on the scene of the accident on the eastbound side of the Turner Turnpike, east of Luther.

Our partner in the air - Sky News 9 flew over the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving the Tulsa County van and a truck hauling a trailer.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office was transporting Immigration and Customs Enforcement inmates from Oklahoma City to Tulsa.

We're told seven patients were taken to the hospital. Six of them were inmates and one was the driver of the truck. All of them are considered in good condition.

There are no reports of any prisoner escapes.
