Crisis Pregnancy Outreach, here in Tulsa, is better prepared to help young women thanks to a generous donation from the Knights of Columbus.
Thursday, the Catholic organization donated a $36,000 ultrasound machine.
The director of Crisis Pregnancy Outreach says the new machine will help detect pregnancies earlier, and can make a huge difference in the life of the mother and her baby.
"We believe that the sooner that she knows that she is pregnant, she will begin to take better care of herself, and that will result in a better outcome for the baby," said Director Cheryl Bauman.
This is the seventh ultrasound machine that the national group has donated to a non-profit organization.
