Seven Sign To Play Soccer At NSU

Northeastern State Women's Soccer Coach Chase Wooten announced the signing of seven new RiverHawks to the 2013 recruiting class.

Northeastern State women's soccer coach Chase Wooten announced the signing of seven new RiverHawks to the 2013 recruiting class.

The 2013 class consists of four Oklahoma players, two Texas players and one player from New York.

"We took a big step forward with this recruiting class," Wooten said. "We have players that can fill some needs from the goal keeper to the forward. I expect that this class will make a noticeable impact early on."

The RiverHawks closed the 2012 season with a record of 13-5-1 in the first season of MIAA play. NSU progressed to the semifinals of the MIAA conference Championship but fell to twelfth-ranked University of Central Missouri 1-0.

Mikayla Carlson, 5'4", Midfielder. The Woodlands, Texas

High School: The Woodlands HS / Club Team: Texas Rush ECNL

Awards: Team MVP, First-Team All-District

"We have high hopes for what Miki will be able to do as a freshman. She is a very creative player and see's the field really well. She is also a good leader and should be a game changer for us."

Madison Dobbs, 5'10", Center Midfielder. Oklahoma City, Okla.

High School: Westmoore HS / Club Team: Fury 95 Green

Awards: All Mid-State Conference

"We have been able to watch Madison over the past two years, and she does a ton for her team in the midfield. She has great size and is a good at winning the ball. We are hoping she can be a quality holding mid for us in 2013."

McKenna Jetton, 5'8", Forward. North Richland Hills, Texas

High School: Birdville HS / Club Team: Sting West Blue 95

Awards: All-District, All-Region, All-State, Team Defensive Player of the Year

"We are confident McKenna will fit a need for us in 2013. She is such a well-rounded player who is very composed on the ball and dynamic going at players 1v1. She is an accomplished defender, can play in the midfield, or change the game when she moves up top."

Paige Talley, 5'7", Goalkeeper. Owasso, Okla.

High School: Owasso HS / Club Team: Tulsa Soccer Club

Awards: Team MVP

"Paige will give us much needed depth in goal for 2013 and beyond. She is a good player and we are delighted to have her in our program."

Lauren Wagner, 5'5", Defender. Tulsa, Okla.

High School: Broken Arrow HS / Club Team: Tulsa Soccer Club ECNL

Awards: She is an all-region selection and team MVP

"Lauren comes from one of the finest club teams in the country and will be ready for the college level as a rookie. She is a steady defender and we are looking at her mostly as an outside back."

Allyson Webb, 5'4", Midfielder. Broken Arrow, Okla.

High School: Union HS / Club Team: Tulsa Blitz United

Awards: Team MVP

"Ally is another player that we have been aware of for a few years. She is a smooth midfielder that allows the game to go through her. She is very clever on the ball and can also do the tough tackling needed in the center of the park at this level."

Jordan Woodruff, 5'8", Goalkeeper. Smithtown, N.Y.

High School: Hauppauge HS / Club Team: East Meadow Spark ECNL

"Jordan's potential is off the charts and we expect her to solidify our team in the back. She is a strong leader already, and she is so talented. We believe she will set the standard in work ethic and challenge for a starting position from day one."
