In January, News On 6 made the move to new studios in the Brady Arts District in downtown Tulsa.
Now pieces of the old set at the Frankfort Avenue building are finding a new home and helping out broadcasting students along the way.
Folks from Tulsa Community College went over to the old place on Friday and dismantled part of the set.
They took out walls, the morning show set and the skyline scenes that served as a backdrop.
A brand-new television set wasn't in TCC's budget, so something like this goes a long way in helping create a better learning environment for budding journalists.
"These kind of things really help us out, and they'll help us out for a long time," TCC's Ed Taylor said. "You know, it'll be nice for the students. I know they're very excited about it."
Taylor was a photojournalist at KOTV for 14 years.
He said it was pretty strange coming in and seeing the old building empty after all the years he spent there.
