The death of a 19-year-old McAlester man Saturday has the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation assisting the Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.

OSBI spokesperson Jessica Brown says William Hatridge, 19, was found unresponsive at a social gathering near the community of Blocker in an area called McAnally Flats on January 26, 2013.

OSBI agents interviewed others who attended the gathering.

Brown said Hatridge's body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

The OSBI is awaiting the results of that autopsy.

The funeral for Hatridge is Thursday morning at the First Baptist Church in McAlester.
