Disabled Veterans' Group Benefits From Old News On 6 Furniture

News on 6 was proud to help our home front heroes Tuesday.

The Disabled American Veterans stopped by our old downtown studios to load up the old desks, chairs, file cabinets and more.

Some of the furniture will be sold to help fund their various projects across the area, the rest will be put to use in their offices.

"There are times when there may be 25-30 people in our offices at one time and it's not that big, and this will give us the opportunity to let them sit and let them be comfortable while they're having to wait," said Bobby Peyton, with DAV.

The group is still looking for a truck to help haul off all the furniture.
