A Tulsa man already serving time for making obscene phone calls to several area emergency rooms is now accused of writing a threatening letter to a Tulsa County jailer.
Kevin Shelman, 39, pleaded guilty last year to making obscene phone calls and was ordered to serve a year in jail.
On Monday, according to jail records, Shelman sent a letter to a detention officer who works in the jail pod where Shelman is housed, threatening to shoot and stab the officer at least 20 times.
In the letter, Shelman also threatened to blow up the officer's house and car, according to deputies.
Shelman faces complaints of threatening a violent act and threatening to use explosives. He has a court appearance on the new complaints on January 18th.
