Tulsa City-County Offices to Close Tuesday For New Year's Day

City of Tulsa and Tulsa County offices will be closed Tuesday, January 1, 2013, for New Year's Day. Public safety operations, however, will operate as normal.

Tulsa residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the City's 24-hour emergency number, 918-596-9488.

No residential refuse, recycling or yard waste pickup will happen on Tuesday.

For customers with once-a-week collection services:

• There will be no change in service for once-a-week Monday customers.
• Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday customers will be collected on Thursday; Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.

Those customers with twice-a-week service will experience the following changes in service:

• Monday and Thursday customers will be collected on Monday and Friday.
• Tuesday and Friday customers will be collected on Wednesday and Saturday.
• Wednesday and Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday and Saturday.

Several City of Tulsa facilities like the Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 North Erie; Tulsa Parks recreation centers; Mohawk and Page Belcher golf courses, and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, all will be closed Tuesday.

The Tulsa Zoo and Gilcrease Museum, however, will be open on January 1st.

No Tulsa Transit bus will run on Tuesday.
