Broken Arrow Bank Teller Arrested On Embezzlement Complaint

A bank teller was arrested by Broken Arrow Police Thursday after the bank conducted an audit and found over $7,600 missing from her cash drawer.

A bank teller was arrested by Broken Arrow Police Thursday after the bank conducted an audit and found over $7,600 missing from her cash drawer.

According to Tulsa County jail records, 59-year-old Joy Potter, of Talala, was questioned by police and confessed to taking the money over time to help pay for attorney fees from her divorce.

She worked at First National Bank on Main Street in Broken Arrow.

Potter was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail. She is currently free on a $2,000 bond. Her next court date is Dec. 13.
