TFD Captain Injured In School Fire Returns To Work

After months of rehabilitation, a Tulsa firefighter is finally back on the job.

Captain Terry Sivadon returned to work after he and seven other firefighters were caught in an explosion, during a fire at the old Barnard Elementary back in September.

Sivadon will always have scars from that fight, something he now shares with his crew.

"We were kind of knocked silly, if you will. And it took all of us to get out, and our training," Sivadon said. "We've got a pretty good bond together now, we sure do. You know, not many people go through an incident like that."

He said he's glad the rehab is behind him and glad he's back at the job he loves.
