Folks who drive on Highway 51 west of Mannford are getting a new bridge.
ODOT approved a bid Monday for the $3.4 million project, which is located nine miles west of Highway 99 in Creek County.
Manhattan Construction will build the new bridge underneath the old one. When it's ready, they'll demolish the old bridge and move the new one into place.
ODOT said traffic should only be impacted for about 21 days.
This is the first time Oklahoma has used this method.
Construction begins early next spring.
