A 20-year-old and a 17-year-old are in police custody after an attempted burglary of a firearms shop and a short chase of a stolen car.
Tulsa police got an alarm call at the MacKool's Firearms Limited, 6300 E. 31st St., a little before 6 a.m.
The first officer on scene saw someone running around the building. When other officers arrived, they caught 17-year-old in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store.
While they were investigating the attempted burglary, a car with its headlights off "peeled out" from an apartment complex by the store.
Officers followed the car, which turned out to be stolen.
The car's driver, Ramont Hollins went a few blocks, then got out while it was rolling. The car rolled for about a block and came to rest against an apartment complex gate.
The Hollins ran off, but police caught him.
Police said they believe Hollins was the getaway driver for the attempted burglar, but they are still trying to connect the two men.
Hollins was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of attempted burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle and obstructing a police officer.
