An Oklahoma volunteer dispatched in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy is home now after ten days in the hospital.

Darrell Smither was serving meals with Oklahoma's Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, when he fell and hit his head. His left side has been paralyzed ever since.

He still talks about the experience as a positive one.

"I met a lot of new friends," Smither said. "There's some good folks in New Jersey, too. But I didn't know Dan two weeks ago, and now he's my guardian angel."

He's talking about Dan Fuller, the man who's looked after Smither ever since his accident.

Fuller said there's a 50/50 shot Darrell will regain feeling in his left arm and leg.
