It is Freedom Week at Claremore High School, home of one of the five finalists for National History Teacher of the Year.

Put those two things together and you get an Oklahoma Moment and a history lesson students will never forget.

The students in the school's various clubs and organizations got together to produce a patriotic lip-sync music video.

They shoot a continuous video starring students dancing and lip-syncing, beginning at the flag pole and going through the building. Later, the video editing students dub the songs over the video. They did one last spring, and decided to do a second with an American history theme, in honor of Freedom Week.

"This is what we are trying to teach our kids, to be better citizens not only of the U.S., but of the world," said National History Teacher of the Year finalist Jan McClaren.

Watch Claremore High's last lip-sync video, set to Katy Perry's "Firework."

We'll post the finished video project, as soon as it's done.
