An Illinois woman died at Freeman Hospital in Joplin from injuries she received in a single-car wreck Saturday near Miami.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Margaret Caliendo, 50, died late Saturday afternoon.

Caliendo was a passenger in Toyota four-door car driven by Ralph E. Caliendo, 63, also of Bolingbrook, Illinois. He was driving westbound on the Will Rogers Turnpike just before 1 p.m. The Caliendos were eight miles east of Miami in Ottawa County when their car left the road for an unknown reason, troopers say.

The Toyota struck a fence, went airborne for about 30 feet, struck an embankment and rolled one time.

Ralph Caliendo was also injured and admitted to the hospital in poor condition, according to a state trooper's report.

A 4-year-old passenger was uninjured.

Investigators don't know what caused the wreck.
