ORU Men's Hoops Falls In Opener

The UTEP Miners used a 22-3 second-half run to put away Oral Roberts Friday night in El Paso.

John Bohannon's 17 points and Chris Washburn's 14 led the Miners' scoring attack off the bench, while Warren Niles' 19 led the way for ORU.

Shawn Glover also added 12 for ORU as the Golden Eagles played their first game as a member of the Southland Conference.

Oral Roberts opens its home slate this Wednesday against St. Gregory's.
