A federal judge sentenced the former executive director of the H.O.W. Foundation in Tulsa to 15 months in prison and ordered him to repay more than $1.5 million in restitution.
Wesley McGinness was charged with defrauding the foundation of more than a million dollars. He pleaded guilty in August.
His attorney told News On 6 in June that McGinness had a gambling addiction.
The foundation helps men recover from substance abuse.
McGinness was executive director of the foundation for more than 10 years. Court records state he withdrew $1.3 million from the foundation's accounts from 2003 to 2010.
McGinness was ordered to report to federal prison on January 8, 2013.
