Former Director Of Tulsa H.O.W. Foundation Sentenced To Prison

The former executive director the H.O.W. Foundation in Tulsa was sentenced in federal court Thursday to 15 months in prison and ordered to repay just over $1.5 million in restitution following his plea of guilty in August.

A federal judge sentenced the former executive director of the H.O.W. Foundation in Tulsa to 15 months in prison and ordered him to repay more than $1.5 million in restitution.

Wesley McGinness was charged with defrauding the foundation of more than a million dollars. He pleaded guilty in August.

His attorney told News On 6 in June that McGinness had a gambling addiction.

The foundation helps men recover from substance abuse.

McGinness was executive director of the foundation for more than 10 years. Court records state he withdrew $1.3 million from the foundation's accounts from 2003 to 2010.

McGinness was ordered to report to federal prison on January 8, 2013.
