2 More Firefighters Return To Work After Sustaining Injuries In School Blaze

The historic Barnard building was destroyed in an early-morning fire and eight firefighters were injured after explosions rocked the site.

Two more of the firefighters injured in the September fire at the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences have returned to full duty, the Tulsa Fire Department announced Monday.

The historic Barnard building was destroyed in an early-morning fire and eight firefighters were injured after explosions rocked the site.

Firefighters Joel Jones from Station 7 and Heath Tye from Station 5 have returned to full duty. Jones returned on Friday and Tye reported for duty today.

They join Capt. Alec Ridner and Fire Equipment Operator Rasheem "Petey" Revels who returned to work in September.

Firefighters Michael Rodriguez and Ryan Beeler have returned to light duty and are anxious to return to firefighter duties. Capt. Terry Sivadon and Fire Equipment Operator Matt Bell still remain on injury leave while they recover.
