Police are investigating a deadly shooting in east Tulsa.
It happened just east of Garnett on 38th Street Thursday evening.
Three children, seven, ten and 15 years old, saw the murder happen literally right in front of them.
The victim was in a relationship with a woman who is the ex-wife of the suspect, who police have identified as Eliboreo Carillo, 35.
Police believe that may be why the man was killed.
TPD said the victim and the three children were in a car parked on 38th Street, when the suspect pulled up and fired two shots through the driver's side window.
The man was dead at the scene.
The children weren't hurt, but were in the car when it happened.
The suspect's ex-wife pulled up right after it happened.
"They are kind of suggesting it was a complete surprise. They had met on this street or else he had been following them—not sure which," said TPD Captain Rick Helberg.
The suspect fled in a truck that police want to find: A silver or gray Toyota Tundra with a camper shell on the back and two orange ladders on the top. It has Oklahoma tags: 346DXK.
The suspect is a Hispanic man, they said.
Police believe if he's not in the Tulsa area Thursday night, he's trying to get to Mexico.
They've alerted the Highway Patrol to look for him.
If you see that truck or have information about Carillo, call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
