Fans around the world of the Golden Eagles can catch their team hit the hardwood this year. The ORU Athletics Department announced Thursday every home game will be broadcast through one of several channels including Golden Eagle Broadcasting, the Southland Digital Network and/or ESPN.
All men's basketball home games, with two exceptions, will be aired locally in Tulsa on KGEB (53) and nationally for DirecTV subscribers on GEB (363). Additionally, each of those games can also be seen on Fox College Sports and will be broadcast on the internet through ELIve at www.ORUGoldenEagles.com. The exceptions to the Golden Eagle Broadcasting schedule are the November 28 contest against Oklahoma, and the January 24 contest against Lamar. Both of those can be seen globally on ESPN3 as part of the Southland Digital Network's package.
An ESPN crew will produce and broadcast ORU vs. OU, while the Southland Conference crew will be in the Mabee Center for the January 24 double-header against Lamar, giving the women's basketball team an opportunity to play on ESPN3 as well.
The Golden Eagles can be seen on the CBS Sports Network as they take part in the Great Alaska Shootout. The partnership between the network and the tournament was released earlier in the year.
It has also already been announced that Coach Scott Sutton's team will be seen on the Pac 12 Network as they travel to Arizona on December 18 and on CSS as they face Memphis on December 28. It is expected that other road games will be picked up for TV as well.
All of the women's basketball home games will be broadcast through ELIve (www.ORUGoldenEagles.com) and first-year head coach Misti Cussen is hoping that some road games, including their contest on December against the defending NCAA National Champions from Baylor, will be broadcast as well.
