Early-Morning Sapulpa Fire Damages Dozen Cars

At least a dozen cars were damaged or destroyed by fire at a Sapulpa salvage yard early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out about 5 a.m. at Total Resource Auctions of Tulsa, which is located next to the Creek County Justice Center.

The lot is protected by a 7,000-volt electric fence, which posed issues for Sapulpa firefighters trying to enter. Once they were able to gain access, the fire was extinguished pretty quickly.

The salvage yard is not affiliated with the jail.

No one was injured in the fire.

The investigation is ongoing, and the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
