A Tulsa man has died after being stabbed early Tuesday morning, making him the city's 39th homicide of 2012, and the man police originally arrested for assault with a deadly weapon is now facing manslaughter charges.
Police said 24-year-old Devin Maggs died just before 11 p.m. Tuesday at a Tulsa hospital.
Investigators said Maggs was stabbed by his girlfriend's current boyfriend, Eric Jason Spears, 27, in the front yard of a home in the 800 block of North Gary Place.
Tulsa Police arrested Spears Tuesday on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon. He bonded out of the Tulsa County jail Tuesday and was re-arrested on a complaint of first degree manslaughter Wednesday, after Maggs died.
Spears is now being held in a Tulsa County jail without bond.
