Sand Springs Man Dies In Kansas Semi Rollover Crash

A Sand Springs man died in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike just north of the Kansas-Oklahoma state line Monday night.

Eugene Ewing III, 53, was driving a semi-truck carrying petroleum fuel when it overturned. The truck was northbound on I-35 from Highway 166.

The Kansas Turnpike Authority says Ewing may have taken a corner too fast. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The left lane near mile marker 4 was closed while authorities investigated the crash.

None of the fuel spilled onto the highway.
