The gates open at the Tulsa State Fair Thursday, and Wednesday, crews were busy getting things ready.
Inspectors with the Oklahoma Department of Labor worked to make sure the rides are safe and ready to go.
They intend for any hazards to be flagged and fixed before the ride opens.
"What the public may not be aware of—Oklahoma has five inspectors out here, two of which are on call every hour that the fair is in session," said Mike Costello, with the labor commission.
Those inspectors will comb more than 55 rides this year, including the Comet 2, the world's largest traveling roller coaster.
