A break in a 6-inch water line spewed a high-pressure fountain of water in an east Tulsa neighborhood Tuesday morning.
A worker with Turf Care Lawn Service sent News On 6 video of the leak just after 11 a.m. in the 14140 block of East 24th Place.
The City of Tulsa water department says the break has been "valved down," and a crew will start digging this afternoon to repair the break. Some customers will be out of water until the line is repaired, according to Laura Weber, City of Tulsa.
Weber said city employees will go door to door notifying neighbors about repairs. The city estimates the leak will be fixed and water restored late tonight - about 9 p.m. or even later.
