Tulsa Firefighter Injured In School Fire Is Released From Hospital

Two of the firefighters remain hospitalized and are in good condition and their status will be re-evaluated on Monday.

As reported by News On 6 in a Friday evening newscast, one of the firefighters injured in Tuesday's fire at the Tulsa School of Science and Arts was released from the hospital, the Tulsa Fire Department confirmed in a news release on Saturday.

Two of the firefighters remain hospitalized and are in good condition and their status will be re-evaluated on Monday.

At about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a fire at the school, but an explosion rocked the building shortly after and injured eight firefighters.

Several of the firefighters had burns on their hands, ears and side of the face. Others reportedly suffered burns on their backs and legs.
