A Dallas company has announced it has entered into an agreement to purchase a wind tower plant in Catoosa and similar plants in North Dakota and Canada for about $20 million.
Trinity Industries says it will purchase the property, plant and equipment near the Port of Catoosa.
"I am pleased with this opportunity to expand our manufacturing capacity at a very attractive valuation," said Timothy R. Wallace, Trinity's Chairman, CEO and President. "These facilities are capable of producing many of the products Trinity currently manufactures, which will serve to further enhance our overall manufacturing flexibility."
In its announcement, Trinity Industries says it will take possession of the Catoosa facility sometime before the end of the year.
DMI Industries moved into the facility near the Port of Catoosa in 2007 and it employs 167 people.
