Tulsa Police Say Car Misses Turn, Slams Into Stop Sign

Police say the driver of a Chevy Cavalier lost control on a Tulsa street and crashed into a stop sign early Tuesday morning.

Tulsa Police say the crash happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of 14th and Birmingham.

Officers say it appears the driver was traveling west on 14th and could not make the turn at Birmingham, slamming into the sign.

One of the people in the car ran away, the other told officers they were being chased by a pickup truck which led to the crash.

Tulsa Police were unable to locate the pickup truck.
