A Tulsa couple was taken to a Tulsa hospital Tuesday evening after a motorcycle they were on failed to negotiate a curve on North 52nd West Avenue southwest of Skiatook in Osage County.

A report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol states the motorcycle was southbound when it hit a guardrail, causing it to flip, throwing both Larry Carlock, 53, and Carol Carlock, 49, off the bike.

Troopers say both sustained leg and arm injuries.  The report says the motorcycle was being driven too fast at the time of the crash and the trooper detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage.

The crash happened just before 8 p.m.
