The number of deaths in Oklahoma due to West Nile Virus has increased from three to five in less than a week.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health confirmed Tuesday the fifth death from the virus. The last two deaths occurred in Carter County. There have also been two deaths in Oklahoma County, and one in Seminole County.

The total number of West Nile Virus cases in the state has also jumped to 92. Oklahoma County, with 29 cases, has reported the most number of people diagnosed with the disease.
Across the state, the virus has hospitalized 57 people.
