After only his first college game, Tulsa Hurricane's freshman Bryce Follensbee scores a spot on soccer magazine's Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week. He's not the only Men's Hurricane player to score big though. His teammate Omar Mata nabs TDS Top-100 and TDS C-USA Top-20 lists.
Follensbee scored two goals and took eight shots in his first game against the University of Missouri-Kansas City last week. His first goal came in the 79th minute as he went one-on-one with the keeper and scored from the right side, while his second goal was scored in the 87th minute off a pass from teammate Bradley Bourgeois.
Tulsa junior Matta was ranked 27th nationally and second in the league in the early TDS lists. He has started in 37 of 39 career contests, attempted 73 shots, scored seven goals and seven assists for 21 points, and was a 2011 All-C-USA second team performer. He was also named to the TDS C-USA Top-20 list as a sophomore and the TDS Top-100 Freshman list in 2010.
