The Oral Roberts women's soccer team remained winless Friday night, dropping a 2-1 decision to SMU on the road in Dallas.
The Golden Eagles fell to 0-2-1 this season with the loss to the Mustangs.
Offense continued to be the main issue for Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles had just six total shots, including five shots on goal. All of those game in the second half. For comparison's sake, the Mustangs had 32 shots, 17 in the first half and 15 in the second.
Despite the constant attack on goal, ORU goalkeeper Helen Erb did a good job keeping the Mustangs out of the net, making 12 saves for the game.
The Mustangs scored first in the 26th minute on a Taylor Robinson blast from 22 yards out. The score remained the same until the 82nd minute when SMU's Kenzie Scovill put the game away with another goal.
ORU's Kayla Nsien scored to make the score 2-1 in the 85th minute, but it was too little, too late.
