State Medical Examiner Says Bethany Teen Died Violently

The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office has released the autopsy of murder victim Carina Saunders of Bethany, and it lists some disturbing details about what was done to the teen's body.

The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office has released the autopsy of murder victim Carina Saunders of Bethany, and it lists some disturbing details about what was done to the teen's body.

Saunders' body was found in a field behind a Bethany grocery store on October 13, 2011. The medical examiner ruled her cause of death as "violent death" and the manner of death homicide.

According to the autopsy, Saunders' body was dismembered. The body parts were wrapped in plastic wrap and placed in a laundry bag and a duffle bag.

The state Medical Examiner's Office used dental records to identify the 19-year-old.

Bethany Police say Luis Ruiz and Jimmy Massey killed Saunders. Both men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
