Good-hearted Tulsans are making sure needy children have the supplies they need when they go back to class this month.

The Christian Ministers Alliance, NAACP and MLK Society picked up three pickup truck loads of supplies from South Tulsa Baptist Church Friday.

They've been collecting everything from notebooks and pencils to glue sticks and book bags.

Pastor Ted Kersh of the South Tulsa Baptist Church said, "It does say to them 'We care about you and we're going to give you a good start.'"

They'll hand out those supplies Saturday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Time Church at 2333 East 48th Street North.

Anyone who needs supplies is welcome to come.
