Connor Meier will return to The University of Tulsa as the Director of the Golden Hurricane Club, it was announced on Wednesday.
Meier spent the 2009-10 season as a development assistant for Tulsa, where he helped coordinate the annual fundraising campaign, raising $2.6 million. He also assisted with creating and installing a new member referral program – Gain A ‘Cane – for the Golden Hurricane Club.
He served as a development assistant for the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Fund from 2010-11 and this past year was an athletic development assistant at Kansas State.
At Minnesota, Meier played a key role in the oversight of the premium seating program for TCF Bank Stadium's 37 private suites, 54 boxes, 295 indoor club seats and 1,250 outdoor club seats. He coordinated the internal processes of the Golden Gopher Fund, including data management, billing, invoicing, gift processing and donation collection. Meier also aided with the development of the Golden Gopher Fund's two-year plan and overall strategic plan.
During his time at Kansas State, Meier assisted in the coordination of the K-State Ahern Fund's annual fundraising campaign with a goal of $12.7 million in donations and 7,700 total members for 2012.
Prior to his one-year internship at Tulsa, Meier spent four months as an athletic marketing assistant at Wichita State University. Prior to that, he spent two years as an educational resources assistant at Baker University.
He earned his bachelor's degree in sports management at Wichita State in 2010 and has pursued his master's degree from Kansas State in business administration.
