The city of Tulsa's plan to demolish a north side recreation center is on hold again.

Six Tulsa residents are suing the city to stop it from demolishing Franklin Park Recreation Center at 18th and Virgin.

At a court hearing Friday, both sides agreed to wait and take no action until a judge can hear a request for an injunction against the city.

The city's budget crisis forced it to close three north side recreational centers nearly two years ago.

Tulsa plans to tear down community centers in disrepair.

"We have children that utilize that park, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren and for them to remove that and demolish it, it leaves a lot of children in our neighborhood with nothing to do," said Patricia Gaines.

A date for the temporary injunction hearing has not been scheduled.

Earlier this week, the city started demolishing Turner Park Recreation Center.
