For eight innings of Monday night's game, it appeared nothing had changed from the four proceeding it. The Tulsa Drillers looked as though, again, they wouldn't be able to find enough offense to break free of their losing streak.
But Tulsa found its offense just in time.
With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, Lars Davis crushed a three-run home run over the right field wall to deliver a 3-2 victory against Arkansas for the Drillers.
The home run matched Tulsa's scoring total from its past three games combined.
Tulsa finished the game with seven hits; Arkansas had eight.
Joe Torres picked up the win after striking out two Arkansas' batters and giving up no its to close out the bottom of the ninth inning. Tulsa starter Dan Houston pitched 6.1 innings, giving up seven hits but only one run.
Tulsa will remain on the road for the next four games, traveling to play Northwest Arkansas. The first game is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
