A Tulsa teen was arrested in Inola Monday morning after the sheriff's office said he spent the night going around town on a crime spree.
The Rogers County Sheriff's Office said the 17-year-old suspect was in Inola visiting relatives.
The sheriff's office said he started the night by vandalizing mailboxes and dumping trash cans then escalated to stealing a truck. He is also a suspect in two home break-ins.
Deputies found the stolen truck, broken down Monday morning.
A witness told deputies that a man was walking through their field with a backpack with what looked like a rifle sticking out.
Deputies made contact with the teen after a search, and said he had in his possession a rifle and a pistol, both found to be stolen, and other stolen property.
The case is still under investigation.
Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said he believes the teen was high on something.
Sheriff Walton said the RCSO had help from the Inola, Claremore, and Catoosa police departments, as well as the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in locating the suspect.
