Wet roads and rain in Delaware County may have contributed to a fatal motorcycle collision, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Stephen Seifert, 45, of Grove, suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the collision report said.

Just before 10 p.m. Saturday, Seifert was on a two-lane county road 2 miles south of Grove when his 2000 Honda motorcycle failed to negotiate a right curve, crossed center and came to rest on its side, the report said.

Seifert struck a fence post.

According to the investigating trooper, Seifert was not wearing a helmet.
