Broadcasters Honor Griffin Communications With Service To Children Award

Feeding the hungry is especially important to us at News On 6. For more than a year, we've been partnering with Food Banks in Tulsa and Oklahoma City to raise awareness and support for their Food For Kids program.

This week, the National Association of Broadcasters Foundation honored our company with its national Service To Children Award.

Griffin Communication's president David Griffin was in Washington, D.C. to accept the award.

"The Food For Kids program has reinforced for us what an honor it is to be a broadcaster and what a difference our industry can make in the lives of so many," said David Griffin.

The Food for Kids program provides backpacks filled with food that doesn't have to be refrigerated and is easy to prepare and sends them home with kids so they'll have food to eat on weekends and breaks.
