5-Year-Old Boy Pulled From South Tulsa Pool Dies At Hospital

A 5-year-old boy nearly drowned at a South Tulsa pool Wednesday evening and later died at the hospital, News On 6 learned Thursday.

The incident happened at the Canyon Creek Apartments, located at 2000 East 51st Street in Tulsa.

The child was swimming in the apartment complex's pool with at least six other kids when he went under, according to police. It's not known how long he was underwater. 

Police say the other children in the pool yelled at adults who were nearby for help.

A resident came out and performed CPR on the child until EMSA paramedics arrived, according to police.
