Peoria Avenue Under I-44 In Tulsa Reopens All Lanes To Traffic

There is some good news for drivers on Peoria and I-44 in Tulsa. 

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says all lanes on both I-44 and Peoria are open again Tuesday morning. 

This is part of a major project to widen I-44 from Riverside Drive to Peoria Avenue.

All of this is to help ease traffic congestion with I-44 having six lanes instead of four. 

About a year ago Peoria was reduced to one lane in each direction at the I-44 junction. 

Now that work is done on I-44, ODOT crews reopened all northbound and southbound lanes on Peoria under I-44 junction.
