Tulsa Eliminated From Tournament By Oregon State

Tulsa only managed to score one run against the Beavers and were eliminated from the tournament.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane saw its season end Saturday at the hands of the Oregon State Beavers, falling 2-1 in an elimination game of the Norman Regional of the NCAA Softball tournament.

Oregon State jumped on the Golden Hurricane in the top of the second, including one unearned run late. Dani Gilmore hit a leadoff singled and Hannah Bouska doubled to left field bringing Gilmore home to take a 1-0 lead.

Bouska advanced to third on a passed ball in the next at-bat and three batters later, Lea Canestary singled to left field to bring Bouska home and take a 2-0 advantage.

Tulsa's only run of the game came in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run from Skylar Swanson, but was unable to cut into the deficit any more.

Marina Denmore gave came away with a win for the outing, giving up just the one earned run on five hits in six innings of service. Aimee Creger received a loss in the finale, giving up five hits and two runs in seven innings.
