A woman is shaken up, but otherwise OK, after a morning attack by a man who surprised her from behind.
It happened just before 9 a.m. Thursday morning in the driveway of a house in midtown.
A cleaning crew had just arrived at the house in midtown, when suddenly a man came up from behind in the driveway.
"She was coming here to work, clean the house and came up behind her, grabbed her and told them to give them her keys," Tulsa officer Heather Howard said.
The woman complied with the man's demands and he took off in her dark blue, 2004 Chevy Tahoe. It has a license plate number of 444-HBH.
Many who live in the neighborhood are shocked, because it's usually a quiet area.
"I just wouldn't have expected it," resident Bruce Mailey said.
Roger Bell didn't expect it either. He says other than a few burglaries over the years; there hasn't been anything like this with the potential for violence.
He's mindful to watch for anything out of the ordinary.
"I try to keep familiar to kind of what is going on in the neighborhood when I'm out walking around like this," Mailey said.
When the woman's car was taken, another man followed him in a Sandy colored smaller SUV. The homeowner is now adding extra security around the house.
Anyone with information about the crime should call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
