Water Heater Fire Damages Tulsa Hotel Early Wednesday

A 30-year-old man was taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a fire at an east Tulsa hotel early Wednesday.

EMSA took a 30-year-old man suffering from smoke inhalation to a Tulsa hospital following a fire at an east Tulsa hotel early Wednesday.

The fire alarm went out just before 2 a.m. at the Studio Six Extended Stay Hotel at 41st and Memorial.

Tulsa Fire says the fire started near a water heater in an upstairs room. Two rooms sustained fire damage and six other rooms suffered smoke and water damage.

Firefighters say several people were suffering from smoke inhalation, but only one was taken to the hospital to be evaluated as a precautionary measure.

Red Cross was dispatched to help those displaced by the fire.

No firefighters were injured.
