Tulsa Students Recognized For Excellence

You often hear of young people doing the wrong thing, but not at a special event held in Tulsa Tuesday.

The Department of Rehabilitation Services held its annual awards banquet. News On 6 anchor and reporter Craig Day was honored to be the Master of Ceremonies.

Fifty-eight awards were given out to students with disabilities from across the area.

They were recognized for things like dependability, courtesy, attitude and leadership. The department helps people with disabilities with job training, education and much more.
