Tulsa emergency personnel responded to a call of shots fired at about 1:30 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived on scene in the 1400 block of North Delaware Place, they found a man who was shot in the leg, according to Captain Steve Odom of the Tulsa Police Department.

Odom said the shooting apparently stemmed from an argument between two groups of juvenile girls. One group was at the house, and the other group showed up in a car.

Someone in the car opened the passenger door and allegedly started firing some shots, he said, wounding a 22-year-old man who was also present.

"The suspects took off to an unknown location," Odom said. "The victim's friends jumped in his car and left also."

The 22-year-old man was treated at the scene then taken to a local hospital in serious condition, according to Captain Chris Stevens of EMSA. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, according to police.

The shooting is under investigation.
