JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A single home run was all it took for the Jacksonville Dolphins to top the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 1-0 on Monday night.
Kalynn Schrock was excellent in the circle for Tulsa, allowing just five hits in throwing the complete game.
But TU's offense never managed to get anything going.
The Golden Hurricane picked up only three hits in the entire game.
The game's lone run came in the bottom of the sixth when Jacksonville's Amanda Schmidt led off the inning with a solo homer to left.
The loss dropped the Golden Hurricane to 16-6 on the season and the Dolphins moved to 14-9 with their win.
With its Florida road trip finished up, Tulsa will return home for a weekend against East Carolina.
First pitch of a doubleheader starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a single game at noon on Sunday.
