Man Critically Wounded In Tulsa Shooting

Tulsa Police are looking for a man they say shot another man several times at a housing complex at 61st & Peoria.

It happened around 1:30 Thursday afternoon. 

Police say two men were involved in an altercation outside the Saint Thomas Square Apartments near 61st and Riverside when one of them started shooting.

One man was hit several times and was rushed to the hospital.

Police say there were at least a dozen people around when the shooting happened and 50 or more there by the time they arrived.

"A lot of people are understandably concerned for their safety, that there may be retribution, and that's a big part of it. But I also think that there are people in here that want to better the community and come forward and work with us and stop things like this from happening so they don't have to be afraid," said Tulsa Police Captain Richard Alexander.
